Scots mum says daughter 'let down' after report clears school of bullying culture

The mom of a teen who wrote an open letter to her faculty accusing it of being "rife" with bigotry and misconduct accused the native council of failing children, after it dismissed claims of a poisonous atmosphere for pupils.

Kristie De Garis says her daughter Anna has been left "devastated, exhausted and feeling extremely let down" after bosses at Perth and Kinross Council concluded there was "no prevailing tradition of bullying or harassment" at Crieff Excessive.

She added that her daughter had been branded a "liar" by classmates after the report was launched.

Anna, a fifth-year pupil on the faculty, had written an open letter two months in the past wherein she claimed pupils have been frequently the topic of racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia.
