A person has been arrested and charged following an alleged police chase and crash in Edinburgh.
A police motor was reportedly in pursuit of a van, that didn't cease for officers, on the M8 close to Newbridge on Friday night.
At round 7.35pm the automobiles crashed and each drivers have been rushed to hospital for remedy.
The character of their accidents was not disclosed by police and each have since been discharged.
Officers quickly launched a probe into the incident.
On Monday police confirmed that a 25-year-old man had been arrested and charged in reference to the incident.
He is because of seem at Edinburgh Sheriff Courtroom on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesman advised the Document: "A police automobile was concerned in a collision with a van following a pursuit on the M8 close to Newbridge round 7.35pm on Friday, April 8.
"The automobile had didn't cease for officers in Edinburgh a short while earlier.
"The motive force of the police automobile and the motive force of the van have been taken to hospital and have since been launched following remedy.
"A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in reference to the incident and is because of seem at Edinburgh Sheriff Courtroom on Monday, April 11."
