Ryanair has issued an pressing alert to a number of of its prospects, instructing them to pay extra for flights that they've already booked and paid for.
Passengers who've booked flights to Belgium from April 1 can be impacted by these extra fees.
Plenty of travellers had been contacted by Ryanair by way of e mail to be instructed how a lot further they must pay, Liverpool Echo stories.
The e-mail reads: "On 25 March 2022, Belgium launched a brand new flight tax on passengers departing Belgium from 1 April 2022.
"Which means that even when a passenger booked a flight earlier than 25 March, which is because of depart Belgium on or after 1 April, we should pay this new tax to the Belgian authorities.
"This new tax is charged on the charge of between €2 and €10 relying on vacation spot."
It's understood that the relevant tax in respect to flights to the UK is €4 per passenger.
The Belgian Embarkation Tax, which comes into impact from April 1, was first proposed by the nation’s authorities final October on distances of lower than 500 km with the intention to encourage options.
Nonetheless, it'll now apply to all flights, together with passengers travelling by personal aircraft or helicopter.
