Rangers v Celtic bottle throw appeal from cops after glass smashed on pitch

Cops are looking bottle throwers after glass smashed onto the pitch throughout Sunday's Outdated Agency match at Ibrox.

It is understood that in half-time of the Rangers v Celtic sport, between 12.45pm and 1pm, a glass bottle was launched from the Copland Street Stand onto the pitch.

Damaged glass from the bottle was discovered scattered in entrance of the goalposts.

The second half of the showpiece conflict was delayed by three minutes after Joe Hart alerted Willie Collum and stewards for it to be cleared.

Police have stated the incident may have left somebody severely injured and are calling on anybody with info to return ahead.

In a separate incident, a member of the Celtic employees was hit with one other bottle and required stitches for a head damage.

A Celtic spokesperson stated on Sunday: "We are able to affirm that a member of our backroom employees was struck by a glass bottle.

"He required pressing medical therapy and stitches to a head wound. The matter is now within the arms of Police Scotland."
