Man rushed to hospital after 'stabbing' on Scots road as cops launch probe into attack

A person has been rushed to hospital after being 'stabbed' in Ayrshire within the early hours of this morning.

The 31-year-old was approached by two unidentified males at round 12.30am whereas crossing Hawkhill Place, Stevenston.

He suffered a stab wound throughout the incident and was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for therapy.

He has since been discharged.

One of many two males is described as white, round 5ft 8in tall and of slim construct.

He spoke with a Scottish accent and was sporting a black skip hat, black shell kind jacket and blue denims.

No description is accessible of the second man.

Detectives in Ayrshire are actually probing the assault and are interesting for anybody with any data on the assault to get in contact.

Detective Constable Fraser Murray of Saltcoats Police Station mentioned: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I might urge anybody with data to return ahead.

“We'd be eager to talk to anybody who might have seen or heard a disturbance within the space or anybody who might have dashcam or personal CCTV footage from the world.

“Anybody with data can name 101, quoting incident 0279 of 17 April or name Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
