Man rushed to hospital after attack which saw Scots train station locked down

A younger man has suffered "severe accidents" from an assault that locked down a prepare Station in Inverclyde on Saturday night.

Police have been alerted to stories of an assault within the Carwood Road space of Greenock, Inverclyde round 5.30pm on April 16.

Officers have confirmed that a 20-year-old man was the sufferer of a "severe assault"

Scottish Ambulance Service additionally attended the scene and the person was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital because of the extent of his accidents.

Cartsdyke prepare station was locked down, with trains unable to cease whereas emergency companies handled the incident.

Disruption to companies affected trains between Glasgow Central and Gourock and continued till round 10pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “We have been known as round 5.30pm on Saturday, 16 April, to a report of the intense assault of a 20-year-old man within the Carwood Road space of Greenock.

“The person was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for therapy for severe accidents.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anybody who witnessed the incident or has any data ought to contact police through 101, quoting incident 2590 of 16 April."
