Man hospitalised after three-car crash closes A9 for four hours

A person has been hospitalised following a three-car crash on Scotland's deadliest highway.

The smash passed off on the A9 close to Dalnaspidal within the Highlands shortly earlier than 5pm on Thursday.

Motorists confronted site visitors hell because the highway was closed in each instructions for 4 hours with tailbacks stretching for round 10 miles.

Emergency crews battled snowy circumstances to get to the scene and each lanes had been reopened by round 8.15pm.

One man was taken to hospital.

The character of his accidents, his age and the hospital he was taken to was not disclosed.

It's unknown if he was a driver, passenger or pedestrian.

No different accidents have been reported at this stage.

As of 9pm police had been nonetheless on the scene managing site visitors.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated : “We had been made conscious of a crash involving three automobiles on the A9 close to Dalnaspidal round 4.50pm on Thursday, April 7.

“One man has been taken to hospital and officers stay on the scene managing site visitors.”
