Gang shouts 'do him now' as they chase down staff in 'appalling' station assault

Surprising cell phone footage has emerged displaying a gang of roughly six thugs threatening, kicking and chasing down two practice station staff.

British Transport Police obtained a report of staff being attacked at Formby Practice Station at 7.37pm on Sunday, April 3.

The footage reveals six people wearing all black, considered youngsters, making their approach in the direction of a safety guard and one other workers member on the platform.

One of many youths can he heard shouting "get off our station lad" as they terrorise the lads, the Liverpool Echo reviews.

A spokesperson for BTP stated: "British Transport Police obtained a report at 7.37pm on Sunday, April 3 of a rail workers assault at Formby railway station.

Andy Heath, Managing Director at Merseyrail, moved to reassure the general public that this form of behaviour won't be tolerated by the rail service and it's working carefully with BTP to catch the culprits.

He stated "We're conscious of an incident at Formby station on Sunday night through which workers had been attacked by a gaggle of youths.

"Whereas incidents of this nature are extraordinarily uncommon on our community, I wish to reassure the general public that this form of behaviour won't be tolerated and we're working carefully with the British Transport Police to determine these concerned to make sure that they are often held accountable for his or her actions.
