Frantic search launched for fisherman who vanished from loch on Easter Sunday

A frantic search has been launched to hint a lacking fisherman who was final seen at a loch.

David Mooney, from Paisley, had been on a weekend fishing journey with associates at Loch Cluanie within the Highlands when he disappeared round 1.30pm on Easter Sunday.

Police say the 43-year-old left his associates unexpectedly and has not been seen since.

Officers are rising more and more involved as it's out of character for David to not keep in touch with associates or household.

The pressure believes David bought a bus or one other type of transport from the A87 to go again to Paisley.

David is described as 5ft7in tall, of medium construct with brief black hair.

When he was final seen, he was carrying a black Berghaus jacket, inexperienced fishing trousers, black trainers and a yellow hat.

Anybody who has details about David’s whereabouts or who thinks they might have seen him since 1.30pm on Sunday is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference quantity 2423 of 17 April, 2022.
