A Perthshire secondary faculty needed to be evacuated after a suspected prank name warned of a bomb.
It was on the finish of the varsity day on Monday that St John’s RC Academy in Perth went into shutdown after a threatening name was logged to reception.
Pupils spoke of armed police seen arriving on the faculty gates, however there was no proof of any hazard.
Now police have vowed to hint who wasted their time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Round 4.10pm on Monday, April, 25, police have been referred to as after a threatening cellphone name has been made to St John’s Academy, Gowans Terrace, Perth.
“The varsity was evacuated and following a search of the premises it was established that there was no danger to the varsity or public.
“Enquiries are ongoing in to the origin of the decision.”
A Perth and Kinross Council spokesperson stated: “We will affirm there was an incident at St John’s RC Academy on Monday and we're helping police with their enquiries.
“As there's an ongoing police investigation we can not remark additional at this stage.”
