Armed police have locked off a piece of a southside avenue in Glasgow as officers handled what they described as an "remoted disturbance" in a block of flats.
Cops swooped on Calder Road in Govanhill shortly after 12pm following studies of an incident unfolding inside a tenement between Westmoreland Road and Langside Highway.
Locals reported seeing dozens of cops within the space after a cordon was established, closing off the avenue to pedestrian and automobiles.
Photographs shared on social media confirmed locals gathered exterior the cordon as a number of police vehicles and vans, hearth engines and vehicles and an ambulance incident response unit sat on the scene.

Uniformed officers had been seen talking to potential witnesses and native companies.
Armed cops had been additionally noticed climbing out of a police van contained in the perimeter.
Southside Central councillor Mhairi Hunter stated in a tweet: "Some sort of ongoing incident on Calder St between Langside Rd & Victoria Rd, police have closed the road so please keep away from for now."
A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Officers are in attendance on Calder Road in Glasgow following a report of a disturbance inside a property round 12.05pm on Sunday, 10 April, 2022.
“The incident is contained and there's no threat to the broader public.
“Calder Road is closed between Westmoreland Road and Langside Highway.”
