Armed police race to Inverness street as knife-wielding man wearing gas mask sparks emergency response

A person armed with a knife and carrying a fuel masks in an Inverness avenue has sparked a serious emergency service response.

The person, clothed in fight gear, was seen climbing out of a flat window on Polvanie View.

Native residents additionally claimed a flat had been set alight on the street.

It's understood that there are seven police vans alongside two Scottish Hearth and Rescue Service (SFRS) automobiles presently within the space.

An SFRS spokesperson instructed the Document: "We had been known as to Polvadie View, Inverness at 3.14pm on Thursday.
