Vile yobs spat on staff at Scots train station as police launch probe to find teens

Cops are searching vile yobs who attacked and spat on workers at a Scots prepare station.

The incident occurred on Sunday, February 27, on the three.55pm service from East Kilbride to Glasgow Central.

A bunch of youths started 'harassing and verbally abusing' the feminine prepare conductor.

The group adopted her onto the platform at Hairmyres Station when the prepare arrived, round 4pm.

Cops say they continued shouting and swearing at her earlier than it escalated. Members of the group pushed the girl, whereas two teen boys spat at her.

The conductor walked away however a teen woman adopted her and continued verbally abusing her.

The group consisted of round 5 - 6 youngsters, between the ages of 14-16.

The primary male is described as white, of slim construct and carrying a gray hoody with tracksuit bottoms.

The second had a spherical face, of slim construct and with brief darkish hair, carrying a darkish tracksuit.

The third had tanned pores and skin, a slim construct, with darkish eyes and carrying a darkish tracksuit with gray on it.

The fourth was a white male of slim construct, with brief darkish hair, carrying a white and navy tracksuit prime and bottoms.

The feminine from the group is described as white, with a slim construct, and had darkish hair in a ponytail. On the time of the incident she was carrying a white and gray long-sleeved prime.

Officers are have launched an enchantment for data following the incident.

A British Transport Police spokesperson mentioned: "Witnesses, or anybody with data, can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 320 of 27/02/22.

"Alternatively, name Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
