Emergency providers saved a person from the River Tay early this morning.
The sufferer was rescued from the freezing water near Riverside Park at about 6.30am.
Police attended the scene together with the Broughty Ferry lifeboat and Dundee Coastguard crews.
The person was recovered from the water into an ambulance and rushed to Ninewells Hospital.
It's unclear how he ended up within the water or what his present situation is.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland informed Dundee Stay: “Round 6.35am on Wednesday, March 30, officers had been made conscious of a person in problem within the water close to Riverside Drive, Dundee.
