A poorly canine was present in a horrific situation was discovered wandering alone on a hill in Aberdeenshire.
The severely underweight pooch, believed to be a Lurcher, was found between Keith and Buckie, Banffshire, on Sunday March 6.
Surprising photos launched by the SSPCA present the emaciated pup with barely any fats on his physique, together with his ribs protruding by means of his pores and skin.
He's so skinny that the bones of his legs may clearly be seen.
The SSPCA consider the male Lurcher is round two or three years outdated and is described as a "pleasant boy" regardless of the best way he has been left.
The charity have been unable to search out his proprietor as he is not microchipped and is now of their care of their Aberdeenshire centre.

Senior inspector Lesley Crockett stated: “The canine was a male, tan Lurcher sort canine. We estimate him to be round two to a few years outdated and he's not neutered.
“He was present in an emaciated situation on a hill between Keith and Buckie, Banffshire.
“He was not microchipped so we have now been unable to search out his proprietor. He's now within the care of our Aberdeenshire centre.
“Regardless of his situation, he's a pleasant boy which suggests he has been properly socialised.
“We’re eager to learn how the canine got here to be within the space in such poor situation.
