Police Scotland crackdown on drivers coming off M8 and city bypass

Police Scotland have been cracking down on drivers as they arrive off two of the busiest roads in Edinburgh.

The Street Police and Nationwide Bike unit confirmed that they had stopped quite a few motorists at Hermiston Gait, with officers organising a brief checkpoint.

Groups requested drivers pull in and undergo a collection of offence checks as they sat in a lay-by subsequent to the Krispy Kreme and KFC drive-thru, in accordance with Edinburgh Stay.

The highway connects to each the Edinburgh Metropolis Bypass and the M8 to Glasgow through a significant junction and roundabout at Hermiston Gait.
