Pigeons found dumped in cardboard box at side of Glasgow road die

Animal welfare officers have issued an enchantment for data after a field of seven pigeons have been discovered dumped in a cardboard field on the roadside close to Glasgow.

5 of the pigeons died after they have been found in a layby on the A82 close to Glasgow by a member of the general public.

The opposite two stay within the care of the charity's Dunbartonshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Not one of the birds have been ringed, making it exhausting to determine a potential proprietor.

The charity has now urged anybody who might know something in regards to the birds to get in contact.

Judy Button, centre supervisor, mentioned the birds didn't seem to have been effectively looked-after.

She mentioned: “The seven pigeons have been discovered by a member of the general public in a cardboard field in a lay-by on the A82 on 24 March.

“They have been present in poor situation and sadly 5 handed away.

“They weren't ringed and the remaining two are in our care right here on the centre.

“We’re eager to learn how these pigeons ended up within the space on this situation.

“If anybody recognises these pigeons or has any data on this incident they'll contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
