Man arrested after armed cops descend on Scots street amid reports of 'disturbance'

A person was arrested after armed cops descended on a Scots avenue amid stories of a 'disturbance'.

The incident unfolded on Bonnybridge Drive, in Edinburgh, at round 3.10pm on Friday, March 11.

A video emerged on social media displaying armed officers on the quiet residential avenue, stories Edinburgh Stay.

The cops will be seen in protecting gear strolling round a block of flats on the road close to to Fort Kinnaird retail park.

As much as 4 armed officers emerge from a block of flats carrying weapons.

The drive confirmed they have been alerted to stories of an alleged disturbance.

A 50-year-old man was arrested and charged and appeared in courtroom on Monday, March 14.

Police Scotland Inspector William Falconer stated: "Round 3.10pm on Friday, 11 March, police have been known as to a property on Bonnybridge Drive in Edinburgh, following a report of a disturbance.

"A 50-year-old man was arrested and charged in reference to the incident and appeared in courtroom on Monday, 14 March."
