A person was airlifted to hospital after being buried below a fallen tree in a Scots village.

Mercy crews scrambled to Glen Clova in Angus after the incident occurred whereas a landworker was clearing wind-fallen particles following the latest storms on Friday, February 25.

The person needed to be rescued after he grew to become buried below the unstable root plate of a big tree which had collapsed.

The incident sparked an enormous multi-agency rescue mission involving mountain rescuers, fireplace crews, the ambulance service and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance groups from each Perth and Aberdeen.

After almost two hours, the person was lastly freed and flown to hospital for remedy.
