Girl, 7, and woman airlifted to hospital after two-car crash on A90

A seven-year-old lady and a lady in her forties have been rushed to hospital following a two-car crash on the A90.

Emergency crews attended the scene of the crash which came about at round 2.15pm yesterday on the Aberdeen to Fraserburgh highway, on the Cortes junction.

The teenager was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The 43-year-old girl was taken to the identical hospital by air ambulance.

The extent of their accidents shouldn't be but recognized.

Police Scotland initially closed the highway to hold out enquiries into the smash.

The highway was later reopened round 8pm.

A 42-year-old man has subsequently been reported in reference to highway site visitors offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: "Round 2.15pm on Saturday, 26 March, officers have been known as to a two automobile crash on the A90, Aberdeen to Fraserburgh highway, on the Cortes junction.

"A seven-year-old lady was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance and a 43-year-old girl was taken to the identical hospital by air ambulance.

"The highway was opened round 8pm.

"A 42-year-old man has been reported in reference to highway site visitors offences."
