The household of a former Scots footballer who died in a deadly collision on the A1 have paid tribute to an "absolute legend".
Paul Hampshire was pronounced useless after being knocked down on the motorway close to Dunbar on Sunday morning.
A black Ford Fiesta collided with the ex-Raith Rovers star at round 1am.
Paul’s household in a press release stated: “It's with a saddened coronary heart that Paul Hampshire, our beloved husband, dad, son, brother and uncle, has misplaced his life in a tragic accident.

“Paul was a faithful household man who was a bigger than life character, an absolute legend and was cherished by all who knew him.
“Thanks to everybody who has reached out with messages of condolence and assist. It has meant a lot to the entire household.
"We'd now like time to grieve and would ask to be given privateness by which to take action.”
The 40-year-old signed for Raith Rovers in 1998 and went on to make 69 appearances for the membership, scoring two targets.
He has been described as having a "fantastic left foot" by the Fife aspect in a tribute to him.
Hampshire additionally performed for Berwick Rangers and East Fife FC as a midfielder throughout his profession.
