Dumfries storyteller holding fundraising evening for Ukraine

Dumfries-based storyteller Rolf Buwert has provide you with a novel technique to increase funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s support for the folks of Ukraine.

He's holding a fundraising night of storytelling – conventional Scottish and European – subsequent Friday, March 25, from 7.30pm to 9pm in Dumfries Baptist Church Centre in Gillbrae Street, Dumfries.

Rolf, who's the son of two German refugees who got here to dwell in Dumfries after WWII, stated the plight of Ukrainian refugees has struck a twine with him and he needs to assist by elevating funds for the folks of Ukraine.

He added: “I’m doing my little bit and if folks might come to this storytelling session that might be unbelievable.”

Residents are being requested to go alongside to the church and make a donation to DEC to take heed to the 12 tales from Rolf.

He stated that there will probably be some conventional Scottish and European tales and a few modern ones too.
