Dramatic photos have proven a Scots island, referred to as 'Anthrax Island', after it went up in flames.
Gruinard Island, situated off the north west coast of Scotland, was decimated by an enormous blaze on Saturday night time.
Locals have been surprised to see flames and smoke pouring into the sky as the hearth ripped by way of the island.
Taking to social media, one onlooker stated: "Gruinard Island ablaze, experiences of seeing hearth from Lewis."
One other added: "Very unhappy seeing Gruinard Island in flames however even sadder listening to the haunting screeching of the oyster catchers and geese."
Scottish Fireplace and Rescue Service stated they weren't conscious of the hearth till Sunday morning.

Nevertheless, they added that crews wouldn't reply on account of there being no inhabitants on Gruinard Island.
