Dramatics footage have proven a wild blaze firefighters spent greater than 5 hours battling within the Highlands.
Crews from throughout the area had been scrambled to woodlands off the A839 close to Rogart, Sutherland, after a wildfire took maintain round 1.45pm yesterday.
Groups from Lairg, Golspie, Dornoch and Balintore tackled the flames on "extraordinarily difficult floor".
Firefighters had been seen on a steep hillside battling the blaze, which despatched thick, black smoke billowing into the sky.
Balintore Hearth Station shared pics and video from the scene of the "ferocious" fireplace.
Regardless of the woodlands being damp from current rain, the footage reveals flames taking maintain among the many heather and bushes, with embers and ashes flying previous the digital camera.


Nobody was injured in the course of the wildfire.
The 4 crews left the scene after extinguishing the blaze.
Sharing photographs of the incident on Twitter, Balintore Hearth Station wrote: "Crew paged to a wildfire at Rogart together with crews from Laird, Golspie and Dornoch.
"A fireplace entrance on extraordinarily difficult floor took over 5 hours to convey to a secure conclusion."
Later, they posted video footage, including: "A clip exhibiting the depth of at the moment's wildfire.

A Scottish Hearth and Rescue Service spokesperson stated: "We had been alerted at 1.44pm on Tuesday, March 1, to stories of a hearth within the open off the A839 close to Rogart.
"Operations Management mobilised 4 home equipment to the scene, the place crews labored to extinguish a hearth on a hillside roughly one mile in size affecting heather and bushes.
"There have been no reported casualties.
"Firefighters left after making the world secure."
