'Armed police' lock down Dundee flat as man barricades himself inside

'Armed police' descended on a block of flats in Dundee after a person 'barricaded himself' inside.

Police and fireplace crews scrambled t o HIlltown Terrace on after the alarm was raised at 12.40am on Sunday March 13.

As of 3pm, officers had been nonetheless on the scene.

Video footage shared with the Day by day Report reveals one fireplace engine, two ambulance motors and a number of other police autos lining the highway that meets Hilltown Terrace.

The doorway to the terrace is blocked off by a riot van.

A spokeswoman from Police Scotland confirmed the incident to the Report and guaranteed that there isn't any danger to the broader public.

She stated: “Officers are presently in attendance at a block of flats on Hilltown Terrace after a person barricaded himself inside.
