Stevens scores twice, Abbotsford Canucks defeat Gulls 5-3 for 2nd straight win

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. - John Stevens carried the offence with two objectives and one help to propel the Abbotsford Canucks to a 5-3 win over the San Diego Gulls within the American Hockey League Saturday.

Yushiroh Hirano and Ashton Sautner scored their first objectives of the season, and Will Lockwood accomplished the scoring for the Canucks (13-12-3-1). Noah Juulsen had three assists and goaltender Joe Murdaca made 13 saves.

Kodie Curran, together with his first of the season, Lucas Elvenes and Alex Limoges scored for the Gulls (13-14-2-0), which noticed their three-game win streak come to an finish. Elvenes added two assists. Francis Marotte stopped 27-of-32 photographs.

Abbotsford doubled up San Diego’s photographs, 32-16.

Each groups went 1 for five on the ability play.
