Mounties in Nova Scotia search for cremation urn stolen in recent break-in

UPPER RAWDON, N.S. - Police in Nova Scotia are asking for the general public’s assist as they examine a break-in that resulted within the theft of a number of objects, together with an urn containing cremated stays.

The RCMP in East Hants say the theft was reported Dec. 30 from a house in Higher Rawdon, about 60 kilometres north of Halifax.

The Mounties say the stolen urn contained the ashes of the house owner’s late son, and a laptop computer, a tv and jewellery have been additionally taken.
