NEW YORK (AP) — Mets basic supervisor Billy Eppler stated he spoke to Yankees basic supervisor Brian Cashman effectively earlier than hiring away Eric Chávez because the workforce’s hitting coach and that either side had an understanding that Chávez could find yourself in Queens.
