Beloved Milton educator and longtime community volunteer dead at 88

Milton has misplaced a beloved group member, educator and champion of ladies’s rights.

Margaret Grey, who was the founding member of Canadian Federation of College Girls Milton and District, has died on the age of 88.

Grey was an energetic supporter of the membership for 60 years and served on the native membership’s government in lots of capacities through the years, in addition to lending a hand on the annual group e-book gross sales and Farmers' Market sales space.

“That actually is a testomony to her enthusiasm for the actions of CFUW, the development of the rights of ladies and ladies, and our actions for social justice,” stated membership member Kathy Sellers.

As a former instructor at Milton District Excessive College, Grey knew all of her college students and all people that handed via her classroom door, in accordance with Sellers.

“She was pleased with all of them and adopted a lot of their careers with nice curiosity,” she stated.

Having recognized Grey for 40 years, Sellers remembers her as “the spirit of Previous Milton” together with her friendliness and down-home heat — whereas one other membership member, Lynn Franklin, stated that Grey was a caring, clever individual keen to assist wherever she might.
