Two men rushed to hospital from Scots prison after 'assault' as another man charged

Two males had been rushed to hospital after an alleged assault at a Scots jail final week.

Police acquired report of an assault on the Low Moss jail close to Bishopbriggs, Dunbartonshire, on Friday July 22 at round 4.30pm.

The pair, aged 57 and 36, had been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for therapy following the incident.

A person in his 20s has been charged and a report despatched to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “We acquired a report round 4.30pm on Friday, July 22, of a severe assault at HMP Low Moss, Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire.

"Two males, aged 57 and 36, had been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for therapy. A 26-year-old man has been charged and a report will probably be despatched to the Procurator Fiscal.”

The Scottish Jail Service has additionally been approached for remark.
