A big cargo ship destined for Glasgow ran aground alongside the banks of the River Clyde yesterday morning, sparking an emergency response from the coastguard.
The Wilson Blyth, which sails beneath the flag of Barbados, bought into bother within the water at Erskine round 11am after the vessel ran aground simply metres from the shore whereas trying to sail upward towards town.
