A man armed with an air pistol has been jailed for subjecting the household of a coach rent boss to what a sheriff referred to as "a terrifying ordeal".
Neal O'Donnell, 28, pointed the gun at his accomplice's brother after members of the family went to help her throughout a home row.
Derek Dewar Jnr reacted by punching O'Donnell to the face and disarmed him.
A court docket heard that Mr Dewar Jnr had been requested by his father, Derek Dewar Snr., 61, boss of Falkirk bus firm Dewar Coaches, to go to his daughter Ami's home in Camelon, Falkirk, to test on his mom Linda, who had gone over there earlier.
When Mr Dewar Jnr received there, he noticed O'Donnell performing aggressively.

O'Donnell then produced "what seemed to be a small black handgun".
Prosecutor Ramsay Cunningham mentioned: "Mrs Dewar noticed the accused pointing the handgun at her son.
"He was heard to say, 'I will shoot yous.'
"He then lowered the gun to his aspect, and on the identical time Derek Dewar Jnr moved in the direction of him, hit him, and eliminated the handgun from his grasp."
