A fishing crew have been rescued as their boat sank off the north coast of Scotland this morning.
The seven crew members have been winched to security after their boat sank close to to the Outer Hebrides, 100 miles north of Lewis.
The Each day Document understands the daring rescue operation was launched after the crew set off a misery alert at round 5am this morning (April 14).
Stornoway Coastguard mentioned they have been rescued by one other fishing vessel which was within the space.
The crew are mentioned to be protected and nicely and are being taken to the Faroe Islands the place their vessel is considered registered.
The boat was round 100 miles north of the Butt of Lewis when it received into problem on Thursday morning.
A spokesman for Stornoway Coastguard mentioned: “We acquired a name of a satellite tv for pc misery from a fishing vessel at 5am this morning.
“The vessel was 100 miles north to north-west of the Butt of Lewis. We later discovered that the vessel had sunk.
