Bus builder awarded £62m for 137 zero emission vehicles to be manufactured in Falkirk

Falkirk bus builder Alexander Dennis has been award a £62 million contract to construct 137 zero emission buses, as a part of the primary part of the Zero Emission Bus Problem Fund.

It is the biggest funding made in Scotland thus far to decarbonise buses and helps the Scottish Authorities 's Mission Zero ambition for transport.

The buses will change 276 outdated diesel buses with new battery-electric fashions.

Transport Sectary Michael Matheson, who can be MSP for Falkirk West, has welcomed this funding.
